Important information regarding Private Health Insurance reforms from 01 April 2019
No changes to any services offered at Out of the Box Physiotherapy. All of our services will continue to attract private health insurance rebates for eligible policy holders.
The federal government has undertaken a review of its private health insurance legislation and as such as made a series of reforms that will come into effect on 01 April 2019. The most significant of these is the removal of private health insurance rebates for a range of natural therapies, including Pilates.
The good news is that none of our services here at Out of the Box Physiotherapy will be affected by these reforms. We anticipated these changes and adapted our services and programs to ensure that they remain eligible for private health insurance rebates.
We stopped using the term Pilates in our group exercise programs some time ago because we did not feel that it accurately represented all that we were offering.
At Out of the Box Physiotherapy we are in a unique position where all of our physiotherapists also hold degrees in exercise physiology giving us specialised skills in all aspects of exercise prescription from therapeutic and rehabilitation exercises through to conditioning programs for athletes. We are able to select the most appropriate and effective exercises for the management of your condition as part of your treatment plan. Not being limited to purely Pilates type exercise means that we are able to prescribe exercise based on the best available evidence.
So from April 01 2019 it is business as usual for us here at Out of the Box Physiotherapy. If you would like to know more information about any of our programs or if you would like to know how we might be able then please reach out to us using the contact button below.
