Exercise Physiology

Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are allied health professionals with the highest level of training for prescribing exercise to individuals. AEPs hold, at a minimum, a 4-year bachelor degree. This equips AEPs with the knowledge, skills and competencies to design, deliver and evaluate safe and effective exercise interventions for people who have acute, sub-acute or chronic medical conditions, injuries and disabilities. These interventions include health and physical activity education, advice and support, and lifestyle modification with a strong focus on achieving behavioural change.

Our Exercise Physiologist works alongside our physiotherapy team to provide effective and appropriate exercise prescription.  A personalised exercise program that suits your lifestyle and limitations can be developed.  Whether you are after help in the gym, or just a basic program for home, our Exercise Physiologist can help.  Exercise is medicine and getting started on a effective program is easier than you think.

We offer one on one Exercise Physiology consultations by appointment.  You do not need a referral to see our Exercise Physiologist and depending on your level of health insurance, rebates can be available.   We do accept referrals for Exercise Physiology from your GP via  medicare Team Care Arrangements however please note that we do not bulk bill these consultations.
